Copenhagen Design Week 2011 “The second edition of the fantastic Copenhagen Design Week just kicked off, and Inhabitat is on the scene capturing all bustling events going down in Danish capital. This year’s fair features lots of exhibits, international conferences, street installations, workshops, awards and open showrooms all throughout the city. But for any good design week hunter, the natural starting point is of course the Information Point! Located right by the incredible Copenhagen Kvæsthusmolen Harbor, the stacked structure has been built from one of our favorite building materials: recycled shipping containers!”

When Danish urban contemporary artist Mikael B posted one of his works on social media for the first time, the post was commented 22,000 times. Since then the wheels have been spinning fast and his art career as well as his fanbase have skyrocketed. Now, five years later, the 32-year-old artist has a studio in Los Angeles, an American manager, five employees and has been showing at the notorious art show Art Basel. After several requests from his Danish audience and collectors Mikael B is now showing his first major solo exhibition in Denmark.
